My creative life started with a ballet box - oh it was magical..I lovingly put my ballet shoes, black leotard & pink tights in there and ran off to dance class! Mrs. Ruff was my teacher, aptly named as she was a fierce yet supportive Boston Ballet instructor. The leaps & turns I did... all for that gold star she would put on your chart when you perfected a move. I was equally in love with drawing, the crayola caddy was yet another wonder and I spent hours doodling & coloring when not dancing.

All thru school I was artistic. Skipping many classes to spend as much time as I could in the art studio painting and drawing. Then in a fit of I don't know what, I bought into the "well that art stuff is a nice hobby but what are you really going to do to make a living?" Flash forward to landing myself in various number crunching jobs learning how to operate in corporate america - a square peg in a round hole but I was pretty good at it. My left brain was now getting a workout & I learned a lot of valuable skills that have served me well. One day in that corporate accounting job I had that moment of I have to go back to being artistic. NOW. So it was off to school for design and ah love ... joy again!

So here I am 15 years later having worked for some amazing companies and individuals including a 6 year stint as a freelance designer (those business skills, yup it was worth it!)

When I'm not designing or illustrating I am an avid cyclist, yogi, aspiring capoeirista & generally an active outdoorsy type gal. Oh & yeah I'm dancing again and loving it!
